The Big Question:  What are the marks of a good minister?

1.        Teaching good doctrine while plugged in to the source – v. 6

1. Teaching the right way (good/sound doctrine) – 6a
2. Getting the proper nourishment – 6b

2.       Rejecting  heresies – v. 7a

3.       Exercising for godliness – v. 7b-9

1. Physical exercising is of limited benefit – 7b
2. Spiritual exercising (godliness) is of eternal benefit - 8

4.       Maintaining proper perspective/ focus – v.10

1. Why does he work hard?
2. Why does he make every effort and strive for a prize?
3. Because his hope/focus is on the living God, the Savior of all, especially the faithful
